Mineral Bath Soak Rose Petal & Geranium Ingredients

EPSOM SALT (MAGNESIUM SULFATE)

Magnesium is found in abundance in the body and can be purchased both as a dietary supplement and also for therapeutic use in soaking salts. We use USP (pharmaceutical grade) epsom salt in our bath salts to guarantee the highest quality, purity, and potency. Magnesium can support circulation, ease sore muscles, help to relieve minor aches and pains/swelling/tension/restlessness and promote relaxation of the mind and body. Soaking for a minimum of 15 minutes will help the body absorb more magnesium for greater benefit. 

SEA SALT (SODIUM CHLORIDE) 

We use the highest quality food grade Pacific sea salt from the California coat. Sea salt softens the water, and thus helps to soften the skin while cleansing, and detoxifying. Sea salt also supports minor aches and pains, promotes circulation, calms irritation, and is especially beneficial for dry and/or itchy skin. 

FRENCH PINK CLAY (KAOLIN)

Kaolin clay (rose clay) comes from France and is one of the gentlest clays. It is highly adsorbent, cleansing and supportive for dry and inflamed skin. The most abundant mineral found in the kaolin clay is a white mineral called kaolinite, which draws out impurities, dirt and excess oil from the pores without causing redness or irritation. 

ORGANIC ROSE PETAL POWDER (ROSA DAMASCENA)

Our pink rose petal powder is ground from organic rose petals. For centuries, roses have been revered for their beauty, their captivating sweet and floral fragrance and skin benefiting qualities. The first use of rose essential oil dates back to 10th Century Persia and the great Arab physician, Avicenna who harvested the flowers and distilled the oil. The addition of rose petal powder in our rose petal and geranium mineral soak imbibes the comforting and soothing quality of the rose. Roses radiates love, and have traditionally been called the "queen of flowers."

ORGANIC GERANIUM ESSENTIAL OIL (PELARGONIUM GRAVEOLENS) 

Geranium is a perennial shrub that grows about 5’ tall and the essential oil is made by steam distillation using the flower. Geranium, also called ‘rose geranium’ has a sweet, fruity, floral and rose-like scent and is known for its regulating quality. Therapeutically, geranium is an astringent, anti-viral, anti-fungal, and promotes lymphatic health.  

ORGANIC LEMON ESSENTIAL OIL (CITRUS LIMON) 

The lemon comes from a small evergreen tree (a hybrid of wild plants) and its exact origin is unknown, but some say the lemon tree is from East India. Our lemon essential oil is cold pressed from the peel and is wonderfully cleansing, clarifying, and cheering. Therapeutically, the lemon is anti-septic, anti-bacterial, and supports oily and/or dull skin.
