Our French green clay comes from naturally occurring clay deposits in France, is untreated and has a lovely soft texture. Green clay is rich in silica, magnesium, iron, and calcium and is gently exfoliating and detoxifying. French green clay is drawing, pulling out impurities and toxins while balancing excess oil. Its astringent action creates circulation and brings oxygen to the surface of the skin, minimizing the appearance of pores for a glowing, soft and balanced complexion.

The cultivation of green tea dates back to the 7th century with the Tang Dynasty in China. The Japanese perfected the cultivation of Matcha, and it has been part of their culture for over 800 years. Matcha means "ground tea" and the shade grown process that happens 2-4 weeks before harvest increases the plants chlorophyll and L-theanine production. Matcha contains very high levels of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), a powerful compound in green tea that helps protect the skin from environmental damage,  supports a healthy inflammatory response and promotes even skin tone.
